Council on Global Engagement
Reporting Line
The Council on Global Engagement reports to the Vice Provost for Global Engagement.
Composition of Membership
The committee is comprised of fourteen faculty members including:
- Eleven rotating members
- One senator
- Three faculty member stakeholders appointed by the Faculty Senate.
- The membership should provide representation for each academic unit.

- Assistant Director for Study Abroad
- Assistant Director for International Student and Scholar Services
- Director of Missions
- Director of the Baylor and Beyond living and learning community
Committee Charge Responsibilities
The Council on Global Education serves as an advisory board for the Vice Provost for Global Engagement. It reviews and evaluates proposals for new faculty-led study abroad programs, and provides a sounding board for new strategic initiatives under consideration. It also serves as a mechanism to help coordinate conversations concerning global engagement across campus.
