University Budget and Finance Advisory Committee
Reporting Line
The University Budget and Finance Advisory Committee (BFAC) reports to the Faculty Senate and the President’s Council.
Composition of Membership
The BFAC consists of four (4) to six (6) faculty members and three (3) ex officio members from administration.
Members from the administration include the following:
- Vice President of Business and Finance (or designee)
- Vice President of Human Resources (or designee)
- Vice President and Provost (or designee)
Every year, the Faculty Senate shall appoint two members for a three-year term of service. The Faculty Senate shall also designate committee chair.
Committee Charge Responsibilities
BFAC serves as a point of contact for faculty and administration to share information regarding university budgets and finances. Scope excludes finances of schools and colleges. Members develop a working knowledge of the university budget model and work with the ex officio members to periodically communicate to the faculty through the Faculty Senate.
